Our organization is built on a foundation of compassion, integrity, and accountability. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rehabilitating neglected horses and educating the community on equine welfare and advocacy.

Our team is made up of dedicated and compassionate volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in lives of the horses here. We work tirelessly to ensure that the horses get top quality care. There are no paid positions here and are completely run by donor support.

Our Mission
At Trotting Home Equine Rescue, our mission is to improve the lives of equines that have enriched our lives. Thousands of horses every day are abused and neglected. They are often thrown away when their usefulness has expired. Our mission is to stop this abuse by providing essential care to horses in need. This includes:
- Providing a safe and healthy environment for healing.
- Providing quality hay and feed.
- Providing hoof and dental care.
- Providing much-needed veterinary care.
- Providing Chiropractic and any other therapies required for rehabilitation.
- Training for facilitation of adoption placement.

We couldn’t do what we do without our incredible volunteers — we are a 100% volunteer-run organization.
Every feed bucket filled, every stall cleaned, and every fence repaired happens because someone chose to show up and care. Our volunteers are the heart of our barn, keeping daily operations running smoothly and ensuring our rescued horses receive consistent, compassionate care.
Why it Matters
Many of our horses come from neglect, abandonment, and hardship. Because of dedicated volunteers, they now experience safety, routine, and kindness every single day.
